Wondering how Battlecruiser Radio came about? Well look no further!
Battlecruiser Radio came about when the Blind-mans.net IRC network flopped after only three months of service. Battlecruiser Radio’s Owner, Phoenix decided to open a radio station. Using the websites name he came up with BMN Radio.
The Website was around and was easily accessible to the blind audience that it attracted so, he formed the station and the website was completely redone to reflect this. BMN Radio choose its target audience to be blind and therefore targeted blind websites to advertise on. The station took off and has gained DJs and listeners alike, some slighted and some not.
With this growth came a new name and attitude, BMN Radio voted and decided with its fan base’s help that its new name would be Battlecruiser Radio using the old BMN DJs and a few new ones. The Website has moved from Blind-mans.net to two new websites both with the same content. These websites are bcradio.org and bc-radio.org and feature the new background, banner and website colors. As of February of 2009, battlecruiser radio has gotten a request line and is in the process of doing something never been done before with a blind ran internet radio.
Firstly the website is in the forefront using tables and advanced coding to keep it’s content neat and clean and secondly a Download Manager is being put into place soon to help and try to prevent hot linking of its archives. As of March 1st of 2009, the station called battlecruiser radio has nine Dee-jays who are 100% committed with the slogan of the station “ Blowing You Up With Our Hits!” with this slogan in mind the station is headed down a path of success and seems to have the potential to be bigger and better in the future.
